The most mysterious resident in town. Nobody has ever quite figured it out — it drifts in, glows a little, and is gone before you can ask.
Stitched together on a stormy night and still a little grumpy about it. Don’t let the sulk fool you — he’s watching your pointer.
Carved one October and never blown out. The candle inside has burned ever since, and nobody in town remembers lighting it.
Lost everything but his bones and kept his sense of humour. You’ll hear him rattling long before you see him.
Woke after three thousand years in a very small tomb, so your notch feels roomy. Still unwrapping, one bandage at a time.
Sleeps all day upside down and works the night shift. The fangs are mostly for show. Mostly.

FAQ
Yes. Download the app and it opens straight away: 3 days, every feature, no card and no email. A day before it ends Notchy lets you know. After that, enter a license key to keep going.
Only if you want it. Lifetime is one payment. Monthly is a subscription. The pricing section shows Paddle’s total for your country. Promo codes apply at checkout.
Nice to have, not required. NotchMate can draw a simulated notch on any display — Studio Display, older Macs, testing.
macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Every M1 MacBook and newer can run it, plus Intel Macs that support Sonoma.
Only what a feature needs: Automation for Spotify / Music, Calendar for events, Camera for Mirror, Accessibility for window snap, Screen Recording for the optional lid effect. Zen lyrics use the network, not a macOS permission. Refuse any permission and that feature quietly turns off.
Yes. No-distraction mode stops the unsolicited peeks and waves. He still sits in the notch when you open it.
Yes — there are 24, including the Halloween crowd: Ghost, Frankenstein, Pumpkin, Skeleton, Mummy and Bat. Notchy, Cat and Dog take your colour; everyone else wears their own. Switch any time in Settings.
The NotchMate macOS app and a personal license — music, Zen (lyrics and ambience), weather, calendar, timers, clipboard, files, snap, mirror, lid fold, and creature customisation. Lifetime is one payment and covers this major version. Monthly is the same app while you stay subscribed. Paddle emails your receipt. There is no custom or enterprise plan.
A full-screen mode from the menu tile or the quote button on the music player. Play a song, then open karaoke lyrics synced to the track, or switch to ambience — a 3D cover with laser, chroma, stars, liquid, or infinity visuals. Needs something playing. Esc closes it. Lyrics are fetched only while Zen is open.
If there’s demand, of course — work on a Windows version will start.
Yes. 14 days from purchase if the app doesn’t run on a supported Mac or you aren’t satisfied. Open the cancel / refund form on the Support page. I review each request; if I approve it the license stops and Paddle processes the money. Full terms are on the Refund Policy page.
